Sports Medicine Physician, Mayo Clinic Team Physician, Minnesota Timberwolves

“I have had the privilege to work closely with Allison Greer over the past 10 years in my position as a sports medicine physician at Mayo Clinic.  We have collaborated on numerous patients together and I can state without hesitation that Allison is one of the most exceptional physical therapists that I have ever worked with.

During the time that I have worked with Allison, I have been able to observe her excellent clinical skills.  She has a tremendous ability to not only diagnose a patient's condition, but also identify the underlying reasons why the problem occurred and then implement a plan to help resolve the issue.  She is able to uniquely tailor the rehabilitation plan to the specific needs and goals of each individual patient which leads to excellent clinical outcomes.  Allison is also an excellent communicator who is able to explain complex problems in a very straightforward and easy to understand manner.

In addition to her excellent clinical skills, Allison is one of the kindest and most caring people that I have ever worked with regardless of profession.   Her kind and caring attitude is readily apparent to both the people that she works with and the patients that she takes care of.  Allison cares deeply about each patient that she takes care of and works tirelessly to ensure the best possible outcome for them.   I have had so many patients over the years thank me for referring them to Allison based on the exceptional care that they received from her.  Based on more than a decade of working together,  I have complete trust in Allison that she will always provide the best possible care to each and every one of her patients.”

“Having worked with countless physical therapists over the course of my career, I can say without hesitation that Allison Greer stands among the very best. She possesses a rare combination of clinical precision, diagnostic insight, and genuine compassion that sets her apart. I trust her with every patient I refer, knowing they will receive thoughtful, evidence-based care tailored to their specific needs and goals.

Allison has an exceptional ability to identify the underlying source of dysfunction and guide patients back to full strength and confidence—often exceeding their own expectations of recovery. Her clinical acumen and patient-centered approach consistently translate into outstanding outcomes.

On a personal level, collaborating with Allison has made me a better surgeon. Her keen observations, commitment to excellence, and dedication to patient success elevate the standard of care for everyone around her.”

“After over two decades of consistent running, I underwent hip arthroscopy in August 2024. After a long recovery period and eager to return to running, I was referred to Allison in June 2025. Within just a few meetings, my strength, confidence, and running endurance improved. Allison began every PT session by asking me what my main focus or concern was, and adeptly adapted the routines to meet my needs. She is highly responsive and thoughtful, and I felt reassured by her professional manner, clear explanations, and gentle persistence. She is both incredibly attentive and empathetic to her patients. I am grateful to Allison for setting me up for a smooth return to running after many earlier setbacks. I am able to enjoy longer runs amid beautiful foliage thanks to her care!”

“I worked with Allison when training for my first half Ironman. Previous to this, I was injury prone especially with running. When I began training and working with her I had an ankle tendon injury that was keeping me from cycling and running. Throughout training I also had some hip and shoulder issues pop up that we were able to extinguish quickly. The thing that sets Allison apart from other therapists I have seen is that she not only listens to her patients, but does all the necessary palpating, muscle length and strength tests and then explains what she thinks is going on and why. She then develops a treatment plan based on the individual, and more importantly their goals, not just a cookie cutter approach to the body part in question. I am not exaggerating when I say that I would have not been able to finish training and the race as pain-free as I did without her expertise and knowledge. She also takes the time to educate her patients, which has now given me a lot of useful information to use in the future.”

“I had been in consistent and constant physical therapy for 6 years for a herniated disk and psoriatic arthritis before working with Allison and building long lasting and true change. Allison’s meticulous, thoughtful, caring, and technical approach helped me to slowly build literal strength as well as confidence. Before seeing Allison, I was dependent on manual therapies and was largely afraid of movement, and without ever pushing me too much or making me feel uncomfortable Allison met me where I was at and helped me reconnect with my body and not only be physically able to move with greater ease but to enjoy it too. I have made significant strides in reducing my pain and increasing my physical abilities, and Allison also helped me build a toolkit to feel prepared and cared for if I do have a flare up or difficult moment. Allison’s approach has truly changed my life and I am forever grateful for her patience and thoughtful care, not to mention incredible knowledge of the body!”
